ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR, Research Compliance, Institutional Review Board Tracking Code1445 Job Description
The Administrative Coordinator provides support to the IRB Office. This support includes to the Assistant Director, IRB staff, IRB members, Investigators and their research staff, BU and other community members who may need information and guidance on the IRB process and requirements. In addition to supporting individuals, the Coordinator is responsible for ensuring timely processing of IRB protocol submissions into tracking systems. The Coordinator works with the Assistant Director and IRB staff to develop and execute office processes for a wide variety of administrative functions. The Coordinator must be knowledgeable about the IRB's requirements to ensure that submissions are complete and to appropriately triage protocols to the Analysts and any issues/problems to the Assistant Director. The Coordinator should have basic knowledge about federal regulations guiding human subjects research and BU policies and procedures.
HS diploma required, B.A./B.S. preferred, must have excellent customer assistance and communication skills and one to three years of experience, preferably in a research environment.
