Administrative Associate 2, Department of Nutrition, College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences

Regular, Full-time, Market Range 04

This position performs all human resource and payroll functions for the Department of Nutrition and works under the direction of the Business Manager. Responsibilities include processing pay changes, initial hire paperwork, processing terminations, additional payment transactions, managing the H1B visa process, and assisting the business manager with faculty and staff searches.



Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

Required:

Associate’s Degree in accounting or other related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge of Human Resources processes and policies

Ability to communicate effectively, including active listening skills, plus the ability to work with a diverse group of faculty, staff, administrators, and other stakeholders

Ability to prioritize and manage a high-volume of complex projects simultaneously to meet deadlines

Ability to be detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Preferred:

2 - 3 years’ experience in University of Tennessee system.

2 - 3 years working within University of Tennessee with externally funded grants including monitoring accounts for compliance, assisting with budget preparation and reconciliation.

Knowledge of and the skills to utilize university systems such as Banner, ARGOS, SAP/IRIS, AD ASTRA, Cayuse Knowledge of Uniform Guidance; knowledge of UT policies and procedures.
