Tenure track 9-month appointment.
(1) Earned doctorate in early childhood, child development, special education (emphasis early childhood), or related area from an accredited institution, or ABD considered but doctorate must be awarded by July 2022; (2) three or more years of successful teaching experience in public schools (pre-k -12), early childhood settings, Head start, or early intervention services (birth to three); (3) ability to engage in an active program of research or potential for an active program of research in early childhood special education, early intervention or related topics; and (4) commitment to social justice and equity through teaching, scholarship, and service. A candidate must provide evidence of ability to work collaboratively with groups such as faculty, university students, communities, tribal nations, and governmental agencies to demonstrate culturally responsive and inclusive values with a social justice orientation.
