CTL Student Assistants (level II) support faculty members using CourseDen, UWG’s learning management system, and related online tools. Student assistants field help requests by email, phone, chat, and in person. Student assistants also assist with other CTL projects and events as needed.
Must be a current University of West Georgia student enrolled for six credit hours and maintaining at least a 3.0 cumulative grade-point average.
Effective communication in writing, in person, and over the phone with proper professional etiquette at all times.
Outstanding listening skills, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills with high attention to detail.
Work well individually and/or collaboratively to complete tasks in a timely and effective manner.
Constant willingness to take initiative to understand related programs, applications, and tools.
Majoring in a field related to education, online environments, and/or communication.
Customer service experience.
Experience as an online learner.
Intermediate knowledge of Adobe programs.
Available to work during the summer semester.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Intermediate to advanced computer knowledge of programs and applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google tools.
Knowledge of online classroom environments and learning management systems (such as CourseDen).
Able to sit for long periods of time.
**This position is for Fall 2021. Rehire eligibility is determined at the end of the current semester and is contingent upon availability and department needs, budget, and job performance.
