The Department of Mechanical Engineering offers BS, MS, and PhD degrees. As one of the five departments in the College of Engineering, its faculty conduct research in all areas of mechanical engineering.

Position Summary:

The Smart Materials Laboratory at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of North Texas seeks highly motivated individuals for one post-doctoral research associate position to develop wireless surface acoustic wave (SAW) piezoelectric sensors. Qualified candidate should have some of the experience listed in Minimum Qualifications below.

Minimum Qualifications:

PhD in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field is required. Background in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Design, fabrication and test of piezoelectric sensors. A good foundation on sound wave theory, solid mechanics, and electronics.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience developing SAW sensor is preferred.
