Description:

The Department of Neurology, at the University of Florida invites outstanding applicants for consideration for a full-time, open rank, tenure or non-tenure track faculty position, in the Neurocritical Care Division. The successful candidates will perform inpatient attending clinical duties, including consultations, teaching, and supervision of medical students and residents.

Opportunities for clinical and research collaborations are abundant. Resources include the McKnight Brain Institute, Institute on Aging, Clinical and Translational Science Institute, Center for Translational Research in Neurodegenerative Disease, Normal Fixel Institute for Neurological Diseases, Center for Neurogenetics, Wilder Center for Epilepsy Research, Center for Neuropsychological Studies, Malcom Randall VAMC, including the Brain Research and Rehabilitation Center and Epilepsy Center of Excellence, and Shands HealthCare.


Qualifications:

Board certification (or board eligibility) in Neurology (ABPN) as well as neurocritical care fellowship trained, board eligible for the new ABPN neurocritical care certification, and eligible/certified by UCNS is required except for those having completed training within the previous five (5) years. Certification within five (5) years of completion of the training in the specialty in which the Practitioner will primarily practice is required. Practitioners are expected to maintain Board certification, in the specialty in which they will primarily practice. 

Preference will be given to those candidates who also have a proven record of academic achievements in their area of research.
