Description:
The Department of Structural and Cellular Biology at Tulane University School of Medicine seeks outstanding applicants for multiple tenure-track or tenured associate/full professor research positions. We seek applicants with funded research programs that will complement existing strengths at Tulane including, but not limited to, cancer biology and therapeutics, sex-based biology, aging, genetics and metabolomics research. Located within the School of Medicine at the Tulane University Health Sciences Center in downtown New Orleans, Louisiana, the Department of Structural and Cellular Biology (SCB) is committed to providing a quality education for both medical and graduate students while pursuing funded research that keeps the Department at the forefront of biomedical science. The Department includes 13 full-time faculty members, adjunct faculty, and a support staff that combine to meet its educational and research goals (see more details at: https://medicine.tulane.edu/departments/basic-sciences/structural-cellular-biology).
Qualifications:
Applicants must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree and have an active, federally funded research program. Preference will be given to applicants with two or more active R01 or R01 equivalent grants. The successful candidate will have the ability and willingness to collaborate with other faculty in the Department and at Tulane University School of Medicine. The positions are research intensive and candidates are expected to maintain a funded research program. Competitive startup, salary and benefit packages are provided.
