Position Overview:

This position functions as an expert process automation and Apple endpoint system administrator on the CAS Infrastructure team. This consists of desktop and process automation function areas for 68% of University of North Texas Tenure/Tenure Track (T/T) Faculty, 50% of Semester Credit Hours (SCH), four colleges, 31 departments, and 14 centers and institutes. The position will solve complex procedural, operations, and technical problems.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in related field and four years of related computing work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Considerable knowledge of principles of computing and/or communications

Preferred Qualifications:

While not required, these are useful skills to have, in priority order:

  • Apple infrastructure management
  • JAMF infrastructure
  • Process Automation
  • Automation of User/Computer Account Management
  • Understanding of OS deployment processes
  • Project management experience, including RACI and Service Life-cycle concepts
  • Ability and experience in overseeing and developing technical and project management skills in subordinates
  • Experience in higher education IT service delivery

CAS Infrastructure Apple Endpoint environment met constituent needs and helped drive future capabilities, while minimizing negative impact.


Creates and implements data-driven strategies for CAS Infrastructure Apple Endpoints that further university, college, and departmental goals and objectives.


Works effectively with all (CAS IT, University, System, Off Campus, etc.) resources and groups to make sure Apple Endpoints effectively and efficiently meet new requirements and challenges.


CAS Infrastructure Apple Endpoint environment was suitably monitored and maintained to ensure institutional data and processes were safeguarded and appropriately available.


Ensures all internal and external CAS Infrastructure Apple Endpoint related documentation is created, reviewed, and updated as appropriate.


Trained and/or mentored CAS Infrastructure and Service Desk staff to maximize their skills, including cross training for organization continuity.
