  • Administer security for more than one IT functional area (e.g., data, systems, network and/or Web) across the enterprise.
  • Enforce security policies and procedures by administering and monitoring security profiles.
  • Review security violation reports and investigate possible security exceptions.
  • Update, maintain and document security controls and provide direct support to the business and IT staff for security related issues.
  • Provide maintenance and support for basic University IT products, peripherals, network and other services.
  • Work on one project at a time as a project team member.
  • Function, somewhat independently, under the direction of a senior technician or supervisor/manager.
Required Skills
  • B.A./B.S. preferred, or technical institute degree/certificate.
  • Equivalent work experience can substitute for educational requirements, security-related certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, etc. are preferred, other certifications or certificates in other fields will also be considered for their specific relevance to this position, demonstrated working knowledge in a specific IT discipline, problem-solving/troubleshooting skills
  • One to three years of relevant work experience.
  • The candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and must agree to a fingerprint-based background check as a condition of employment.
