Description of Position
This position will gain marketable work experience by working with Yavapai College staff and faculty to support the mission, goals, and values of Yavapai College.
The Technology Support Services Technician will support projects to replace desktop and laptop computers for all full-time faculty and staff at the college as well as provide operational support for inventory control and materials management within ITS.
This person will unbox new equipment, change internal hardware, image laptops, install software, and support the YC community by contacting staff and faculty to arrange for delivery of hardware and transfer of software or files from previous machine, installing or replacing monitors and other peripherals in offices and other tasks as assigned. This position will also assist with installation of new technologies and the disposition of legacy and surplus equipment.
This position will have direct contact with customers from all area of the college, professional conduct and high levels of customer service are required.

Minimum Expectations & RequirementsAll hiring documents must be completed prior to first work shift, including acceptable documentation for the I-9 Form Possess basic familiarity with technology, including computer hardware and software troubleshooting Demonstrate a desire to learn and develop professional skills pertaining to technology-focused careers Demonstrate patience and a positive attitude in customer service interactions Demonstrate communication and interpersonal skills in a team environment Demonstrate time management and organizational skills, and ability to complete a variety of tasks on immediate or extended timelines Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner Adhere to Yavapai College Code of Conduct, Code of Confidentiality, and FERPA guidelines Valid Arizona driver's license and insurable DMV history to operate College vehicles (CDL not required) Must have ability to lift 50 pounds or more and carry it 25 yards, team-lifting as required.

While performing the duties of this the employee maybe exposed to dry and/or dusty conditions as well as wet and/or humid conditions. The employee will be exposed to mechanical areas of campuses. Work may need to be done above ceilings and on floors. Safe operation of vehicles and safe conduct on ladders and other industrial work surfaces is required.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be excessively noisy to loud.
