Hiring Range:
MA - $12.88 to $14.37
LPN - $17.04 to $19.04

The MA/LPN is primarily responsiblefor ensuring high quality and continuity in the provision of comprehensiveprimary medical care services. The MA/LPN is utilized in performing typicalfront and back office clinical functions. The MA/LPN is under the overall on-site supervision the Practice Administrator.

Regular exposure to communicable diseases and environmental hazards.

Environmental Hazards:
Possible exposure to hazardous material, hot and cold, blood borne pathogens.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry 8-10 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodations.

May carry items including medical records and medical supplies weighing less than 25 pounds for short distances.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Required:-Valid Driver License required
-Current Registered MedicalAssistant/Certified Medical Assistant/Licensed Practical Nurse licensurerequired in the state of OK
-Current CPR certification required

Skills, Proficiencies and Knowledge:
Knowledge of all areas related toclinic workflow. Excellent customer service skills and good communicationskills. Ability to multi-task while providing good patient care. Good computerskills and ability to learn new computer systems as needed. Primary skillsinclude verbal and written communication with patients to promote continuity ofcare and follow-up as well as daily retrieval and scanning/filing of clinicalencounter forms and reports for use by clinic staff during patient careactivities.
Preferred:
-Previous reception, scheduling, and medical records experience preferable
-Bi-lingual highly desirable
-Experience with EPIC highly desirable

Oklahoma State University-Center for Health Sciences was founded in 1972 and is home to the College of Osteopathic Medicine, as well as graduate programs in forensics, biomedicine, healthcare and athletic training.   Our core business is education; and it takes more than 500 faculty and staff members to run our institution.  Our mission is to educate and train osteopathic physicians, research scientists and other healthcare professionals with an emphasis on serving rural and underserved Oklahomans.  We offer more than 10 different specialty clinics to care for patients in the area.
