Associate / Full Professor - Full-Time Psychiatrist (Women's Mood and Anxiety Disorders)

The Department of Psychiatry, Temerty Faculty of Medicine and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, a fully affiliated teaching site for the University of Toronto, are seeking a full-time senior outpatient psychiatrist for the Women’s Mood and Anxiety Clinic: Reproductive Transitions. The successful candidate will have an academic position description of Clinician Teacher or Clinician Investigator, and must be eligible for an academic appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor at the University of Toronto. The anticipated start date is November 1, 2021.

The Women's Mood and Anxiety Clinic: Reproductive Transitions specializes in mood and anxiety disorders that women experience across the lifespan — especially during pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause and post menopause with expertise in the use of both psychotropic medication and psychotherapy during pregnancy and postpartum.

The successful candidate will participate in providing timely outpatient consultation for women with pregnancy-related mood and anxiety disorders will be responsible for providing an episode of care to support these patients. The successful candidate will also be responsible for teaching and supervision of medical students, residents and fellows.

The candidate should possess special expertise and specific training in women’s mental health.The candidate will be a Clinician Teacher/Clinician Investigator with strong evidence of research experience and/or scholarly achievement and/or national/international leadership in women’s mental health. The candidate should have at least 20 years of clinical experience with women’s mental health.

The successful candidate must hold an MD degree, be eligible for psychiatry specialty certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, and be eligible for a clinical academic appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor at the University of Toronto.

Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
