Job Description: The Director of Online Student Recruitment is responsible for the recruitment of new students to LSU Online and Continuing Educations fully online programs.  This position reports to the Executive Director for Online Student Recruitment and Retention and manages a team of Enrollment Coordinators and Enrollment Concierges.  The Director is responsible for enrollment group and creates appropriate KPIs, monitors performance, coaches managers and teams, and ensures on-target achievement of enrollment goals.  Working closely with the Marketing and Retention group, this position is responsible for the front end of the enrollment funnel from first lead through the hand-off to the Retention team.  The Director effectively utilizes technology to ensure compliance with all processes and procedures relative to the enrollment process, student experience and the performance management of the recruitment team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for student enrollment in fully online programs, including lead to acceptance in the recruitment funnel.  Manages team targets and consistently meets enrollment goals, setting aggressive but achievable goals on the individual level, and holding teams accountable for achievement. Recruits, coaches and develops managers, enrollment concierges and enrollment coordinators. Sets performance and accountability standards. 50%
  • Uses data and technology systems to scale and sustain growth.  Works with a high level of facility in the University recruitment-related systems, including Salesforce, Five9, Pardot and other systems.  Monitors performance in these systems, and collaborates closely with OCE IT to ensure the creation of appropriate dashboards and reporting, and the creation of every increasing automation in support of scale. 20%
  • Ensures excellent customer service by collaborating with managers, trainers, and others to write, implement, and ensure the continual consistency of, scripts and other materials.  Leads the A/B testing on scripts, emails and other materials in partnership with marketing and the Web Development team. 15%
  • Collaborates with teams across the family of LSU institutions, managing teams to recruit students for LSU A&M, LSU Alexandria, LSU Eunice, and LSU Shreveport. 10%
  • Some travel and other duties may be assigned. 5%
  • Minimum Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience.

    Specific Experience - Five years of experience in a call center or online program recruitment operation.  Five years or more experience with a CRM.  Three years or more experience with auto-dialer and automated marketing.  Field participation and cutting-edge field knowledge for current recruitment practices for fully online programs or in a call center / sales setting.  Four or more years of leading and developing teams in a student recruitment/call center environment.

    Certifications/Licenses:

    A valid drivers license is required.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Master's degree with 7+ years of experience.

    Specific Experience -  Five years of experience in a call center or online program recruitment operation.  Five years or more experience with a CRM.  Three years or more experience with auto-dialer and automated marketing.  Field participation and cutting-edge field knowledge for current recruitment practices for fully online programs or in a call center / sales setting.  Five or more years successfully leading and developing teams in a student recruitment/call center environment. 

     

     

     

    Additional Requirements:

     

    Vehicle Operation - University employees whose principal responsibilities of employment include operating a vehicle, performing maintenance on a vehicle, or supervising any public employee who operates or maintains a vehicle and positions with an expectation to travel will require an MVR and are subject to drug screens per PM-33/PS-67/FASOP HR-04.
