Position Summary:This County Extension position (part time – 16 hours/week) in Randolph County will be the primary contact with the public, greet clients, distribute resources, handle clerical and QuickBooks financial management duties. This role is crucial to the management of the office and success in serving the citizens of the county. This role will be the “face” of UGA Extension to the residents in the county.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:Microsoft Office- Excel, Word, Outlook a plus.
QuickBooks knowledge is a great plus- but not a requirement. As UGA has excellent training for these important programs.
Also, some knowledge of 4-H programs and Ag related information.
Light office lifting, some 4-H project lifting
**May be asked to assist with livestock projects.

Duties/Responsibilities:Maintain appropriate records for fiscal reporting. May prepare various accounting forms and exercise basic accounting responsibility in reconciling local Extension budgets. Must keep financial records current within the existing month. This is accomplished using Quickbooks.

Duties/Responsibilities:Assist clientele with access to Extension resources and services including: printed publications, online content, other educational materials, and sample submission for all diagnostic services (e.g. soil and water tests, feed and animal waste analysis, radon testing).
Assist clientele in registering for regional or statewide workshops/conferences and training or testing associated with certification programs offered by Extension (e.g. pesticide applicators, certified landscape professional, certified childcare providers, Serve Safe).
Publicize programs and workshops offered in local county or nearby counties to clientele.

Duties/Responsibilities:Facilitate conference calls/video conferences to connect clientele with County Agents from other counties or with State Specialists.
Maintain the County website
Maintain the office filing system in a manner that corresponds with the standard for all Extension offices and coordinate office tasks with other county staff as necessary.
Maintaining and updating mailing list. (for all Program Areas)
Maintain 4-H volunteer record w/assistance of 4-H Agent.

Duties/Responsibilities:Assist ANR Agent and 4H Agent as needed.
(per instruction of County Coordinator – as needed-understanding that this may be assisting the 4-H Agent with 4-H programming or the AG Agent with Ag related programming )

Duties/Responsibilities:Maintain office inventory of publications, office supplies and materials as needed.
Assist County Extension Coordinator with personnel procedures.
Conduct all duties in accordance with The University of Georgia Cooperative Extension Equal Opportunity plan that ensures all educational programs, assistance, and materials to all people without regard to race, ethnicity, national origin, color, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability or veteran status.
Regularly participating in staff conferences and District Conferences.
Assist staff with day to day operations of Cooperative Extension county office by answering phone, processing mail, distributing publications, greeting visitors, filing documents, etc.
