Recruitment Activities, Relationships, and Community Liaison: Serves as a liaison to develop and maintain relationships between the university, alumni, and healthcare and educational systems throughout the tri-sate area in order to actively identify potential applicants and attain graduate recruitment goals. In collaboration with the Director of Graduate Recruitment and Admissions, implement recruiting strategies, including attending trade shows, conferences, education fairs and making presentations to prospective graduate students on and of-campus at information sessions, webinars, and other recruitment events.Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions):
Planning: Participate in reviewing the current College of Nursing recruitment plan and create new recruitment events directed towards College of Nursing initiatives as needed. Coordinate travel schedules and budgets with the Director of Graduate Recruitment and Admissions. Maintain accurate accounting of budget expenditure for travel events, marketing, advertising, and special projects.
Marketing/Technological Knowledge: Assis in the coordination and development of marketing materials and consistently utilize CON approved templates for recruitment activities. Review content of academic web pages; update to ensure information reflects current marketing message, policies, and practices; make recommendations for revisions to ensure accuracy and optimal information delivery. Assis in creating and maintaining CON admissions webinars and online recruitment endeavors.
Follow up/Evaluation/Assessment: Advises prospective students on questions related to admission requirements and application processes for graduate programs. Monitor effectiveness of recruitment efforts by reviewing data and enrollment reports; recommend new strategies to generate prospective student inquiries in response to market trends and changes. Compile recruitment data and statistics and prepare regular and ad hoc reports as requested.
Responsible for tracking inquiries and entering accurate information into a CON approved CRM platform database as needed for all phone, email, and person-to-person communication with prospective students.
Masters degree in Student Services or related field and 2 years related experience, or bachelor’s degree and 4 years related experience. At least 2 years of experience in higher education recruitment. Working knowledge and experience in planning recruitment events. Understanding of sales, customer service, and budget planning. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
The position requires leadership, initiative, innovation, and problem-solving skills. Must have a demonstrated ability to handle multiple responsibilities and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Safety Sensitive or Security Sensitive:
Ability to interpret and institute University and College policies and procedures with discretion. Skills to understand and carry out complex oral and written instructions. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, community partners, and the public. Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills required and superior knowledge of all Microsoft programs, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Experience in marketing email programs, such as Mailchimp, database management, website editing, and social media marketing. Up to date on digital marketing programs and current trends.
