Job Summary

Position of Cashier will support the day-to-day operations and procedures of Business Services, primarily the task of processing student payments. Must possess the ability to reconcile their cash drawer on a daily basis, as well as, pay close attention to details. Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and have the ability to work well with the public.

Responsibilities

Receipts cash and check payments to be applied towards student accounts.; Prepares daily receipts to be deposited into the institutions bank account.; Assists in the process of mailing invoices to debtors of the college.; Files letters and invoices that have been mailed to debtors of the college.; Assists in preparation and performance of registration each term.; Assists Students at Front Counter with general campus questions.; Assists in the collection of returned checks.; Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Must be able to balance and reconcile cash to a predetermined set of procedures and processes; Must be able to operate a ten–key calculator; Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions; Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationship with other employees and the general public; Must be dependable, self-motivated, and an energetic team player.; Strong computer and customer service skills a plus.; Knowledge and work experience working with the Banner Student Information System and PeopleSoft software is highly desirable.
