Career Advisor Position:
The Career Advisor will join a team of career development professionals that assist undergraduate and graduate students in making and pursuing career-related goals, and will help students explore, prepare, connect and share their strengths. The successful candidate will be expected to assume primary responsibility for building a strong cooperative relationship with students, faculty and other colleagues across campus, while collaboratively building upon a culture of career readiness and student success.

As a member of the career development team, the Career Advisor will participate in career development-related work including career counseling, career assessment facilitation, creation and facilitation of workshops and other career readiness programs, and will serve as a liaison to a school within the university.

This position is a 10-month role.
Qualifications:Required Qualifications:
•Master’s Degree required. Candidates with experience working one-on-one with students and a strong understanding of student development in higher education are encouraged to apply. Previous university career services or recruiting experience strongly preferred.
•An established record of accomplishment promoting student development programs and cultivating positive relationships that lead to a comprehensive student-centered organization
•Knowledge of the NACE Career Readiness Competencies.

•Eagerness to be present on campus, including extended hours as needed, including evening, early morning and weekend responsibilities.
