Job Details

Drew University seeks applications for a full-time non-tenure track faculty position in the art department, specializing in digital media, to begin January 2022. Potential courses include: digital imaging; digital video; graphic design; digital animation; 3D animation; intermediate/upper-level courses in these areas; first-year writing seminar. A successful candidate will show evidence of deep knowledge in at least one of these areas, along with the experience and flexibility to teach across several. Candidates should demonstrate commitment to working within an interdisciplinary liberal arts college. This is a one-year position with the possibility of renewal, pending budgetary approval.

Responsibilities:

  • 3/3 teaching load;
  • Participation in program activities;
  • Mentoring of majors and minors;
  • Participation in department & faculty meetings.

Required Education and Experience:

  • MFA at time of appointment;
  • Record of teaching excellence with experience in relevant courses;
  • Accomplishment as an artist;
  • Knowledge of the history and contemporary theory relevant to your practice;
