Description:

UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA LEVIN COLLEGE OF LAW welcomes applications from candidates interested in teaching and directing three legal clinics at the Levin College of Law: our Immigration Clinic, Environmental/Community Development Clinic, and Mediation Clinic.  These clinics are already established at the Levin College of Law, and we welcome candidates interested in evolving each clinic within the broad parameters of the subject matter focus.  Successful candidates will be appointed as non-tenure-track Legal Skills Professors and join a faculty committed to innovation and leadership in experiential learning.

Legal Skills Professors participate fully in College of Law governance and committee work.  After three years of successful teaching and service, Legal Skills Professors are eligible for five-year, presumptively-renewable contacts.  Legal Skills Professors do not have scholarship responsibilities, but they are encouraged to participate in the scholarly life of the law school and are provided with professional development funds. This is a non-tenure accruing position.

Qualifications:

Successful candidates will be licensed to practice law and have excellent legal skills, a commitment to excellence in clinical teaching, and enthusiasm for creating an inclusive environment for all students

Application Instructions:

Application materials should include a cover letter, a resume with at least three references, and a proposal for evolving the relevant clinic based on the candidate’s interests and experiences.  Materials may be uploaded at http://jobs.ufl.edu.  The Appointments Committee will also review the AALS Faculty Appointments Registrar.  For further information, applicants may contact Associate Dean Silvia Menendez at [email protected].  Review of applications will begin immediately.
