Health Sciences Clinical Professor - Nursing Simulation Director



The Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing is seeking applicants for a Non-Senate Health Sciences (HS) Clinical Faculty at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor rank. This position will hold the administrative title of Nursing Simulation Director. The Director will ensure high quality simulation-based education through the creation of a realistic state-of-the art learning environment. The role will utilize best practices and evaluation data to identify opportunities for improvement, innovation, implementation and integration of patient simulation technology into existing clinical curricula. The Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Simulation Center. The Director will serve as the School of Nursing Simulation liaison and partner with the College of Health Sciences Simulation leaders in developing interdisciplinary activities. As a Health Sciences Faculty, primary duties include: (1) teaching (2) professional competence and activity (3) research and/or creative activity, and (4) University and public service.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION: Candidates are required to have a terminal doctoral degree in nursing such as a DNP, PhD, DNSc, or EdD and hold an active and unrestricted California RN license. Candidates must additionally have experience leading a simulation center, clinical and didactic teaching, as well as exhibit a record of scholarship.
