Description: The Office of Academic Affairs (OAA) is looking for an experienced administrative assistant to join our team. OAA is an exciting office whose work lies at the heart of the institution. Reporting to the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty, the office supports the faculty and students and is positioned to see the impact of the work of this office on Hartwick students. Working in this office is particularly rewarding as the office works with students from their arrival on campus, plans events to celebrate their achievements and participates in graduation.
Assist with financial requests, order processing and purchasingAnswer telephone calls and general inquiriesPrepare correspondence, requires familiarity with mail mergeMaintain files, electronic and hard copyProvide assistance with Human Resources paperwork as requiredSchedule appointments for office administratorsUpdate the websiteParticipate in significant campus activities including Welcome Weekend, True Blue Weekend, and Commencement WeekendExpected to comply with all applicable College, Federal, State, local and associational regulationsAs a representative of the College, expected to comport oneself in a professional manner at all times, both on and off campusQualifications

: Minimum requirements for the position are an Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university, with at least two or more years’ of experience in an office setting, preferably in an educational institution.All employees are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to the start of their employment.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)Ability to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneouslyExcellent communications skills, both verbal and writtenOrganized, detail oriented and self-motivatedProblem-solving abilities and ability to meet reasonable deadlinesAbility to build positive and collaborative relationshipsAbility to work both independently and in a teamSome bookkeeping knowledge strongly preferred
