Job Summary: This position provides high-level administrative support of a specialized and complex nature for an HR department. Handles a variety of day-to-day administrative duties for a Director of HR, including preparing complex reports, overseeing office administration, set up and maintaining files, and attending meetings.
Additional Department Summary: The Athletics HR Assistant will assist in providing human resources services to the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. This position will be responsible for hiring, payroll, and offboarding of student employees and will oversee the volunteer approval process ensuring adherence to university and departmental rules and regulations. Will serve as the primary point of contact for all payroll-related needs for internal sports camps along with administrative tasks related to Athletics fringe benefits to ensure consistent and equitable allocation. Additionally, will assist Associate AD, HR in planning and implementing programs and events as needed to meet the engagement needs of the staff. Gather and research information to prepare or assist in reports as needed and will maintain confidential and extensive records and filing systems for programs and/or functions as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma and four (4) years of highly responsible administrative experience in an office environment; OR Associates degree and two (2) years of highly responsible administrative experience in an office environment; OR Bachelor's degree or higher.
Preferred Qualifications: Degree in Human Resource Management, Business, or related field. Experience working in Human Resources preferred.
