Student Employee, Co-Editor, Blazer

POSITION TITLE: Student Employee, Co-Editor - Blazer

STATUS: Part time

DEPARTMENT: Dean of Students

DIVISION: Student Development

REPORTS TO: Bob Marcink


MINIMIUM PAY RATE: $11.00 per hour

(Position is FWS Eligible)

1. Manage reporting staff; edit paper; write stories; help with layout
2. Conduct regular staff meetings
3. Determine size of paper with Production Manager
4. Meet all printing deadlines
5. Pr0vide leadership for all other employees
6. Coordinate and supervise online version of the newspaper
7. Perform related duties as assigned.

1. GPA 2.0
2. Must have editing and writing skills.
3. Successful applicants generally have worked for the Blazer or another publication in a supervisory role.
4. Successful applicants have strong writing and editing skills and have demonstrated the ability to lead others in a team environment.
