Job Summary The Medical College of Georgia Department of Surgery at Augusta University is seeking a full-time faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. This candidate will provide the entire spectrum of plastic surgery care including cosmetics and reconstruction/microvascular but primarily the lower and upper extremity peripheral nerve expertise and carpal and ulnar tunnel decompression surgery.

The Medical College of Georgia, founded in 1828, is the 13th-oldest medical school in the United States. It is the 8th largest public medical school in the country, with 260 students currently matriculating per class. MCG is the medical school of the state of Georgia with 200 volunteer surgeons serving as faculty throughout our regional campuses. AU Health, the primary teaching hospital affiliated with MCG, is a 450-bed academic health system positioned for significant growth in the next five years. The Department of Surgery will prioritize the development of innovative approaches to surgical education and health systems research as we execute on our tripartite mission over the next five years.

The ideal candidate will have a fellowship training in micro and hand surgery.

Minimum Requirements

Qualified candidates should be board-certified in plastic surgery with a minimum of 5 years of experience and demonstrated success in leadership and programmatic development.
