The English Language Learning program is seeking part-time TESOL instructors to teach evening classes in our English Basic Skills (EBS) program. EBS classes range from beginning to high intermediate proficiency levels and focus on developing speaking, reading and writing, grammar, and life skills. We are seeking instructors for classes in and around Annapolis, Glen Burnie, Odenton, and Laurel. In addition to teaching, responsibilities include: assessing and recording student progress and attendance, meeting required deadlines for submitting grades and other administrative tasks, and participating in departmental professional learning events.

Candidates invited for an interview will be asked to give a short teaching demonstration.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in TESOL, education, or related field.
One year experience teaching TESOL or related subject.
Availability to teach two nights per week (Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday).
Experience working with populations from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
Proficiency in Spanish a plus.
Online teaching experience a plus.
