Detailed Description:
The School of Business at the University of San Diego (USD) invites applications for two tenure track Assistant Professor in Economics with specific emphases on 1) Labor Economics, Development Economics or Applied Econometrics or 2) Data Analytics and Machine Learning to begin in Fall of 2022. We will be interviewing candidates at the American Economic Association (AEA - ASSA) Conference in Boston, MA from January 7th to 9th, 2022.
Teaching responsibilities for the position with emphasis in Labor Economics, Development Economics or Applied Econometrics include introductory and upper-level courses at either the undergraduate or graduate levels in economics or statistics/econometrics, along with field courses that reflect the candidate's research and teaching interests.
Teaching responsibilities for the position with emphasis in Applied Machine Learning and Data Analytics include introductory and upper-level courses at either the undergraduate or graduate levels in economics and/or business analytics, along with field courses that reflect the candidate's research and teaching interests.
Job Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Economics prior to the start of the appointment and is expected to maintain a record of exceptional scholarly achievement and dedication to teaching excellence and service in a liberal arts environment.
