USC Upstate is seeking applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice to begin on January, 2022. The duties include: teaching four courses per semester, maintaining an active research agenda, and engaging in department and campus-wide service-related activities, including advising Criminal Justice majors. A strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and advising along with scholarly activity and service is expected
Minimum qualifications: Candidates must have an earned doctorate in Criminal Justice or a closely-related field by the start of employment and the ability to teach a wide range of Criminal Justice courses. Substantive areas of expertise are open, but candidates with interests in crime analysis, courts, policing, and /or ethics are encouraged to apply (note: JD alone is not sufficient). ABD candidates with a planned completion date by December 31, 2022, are welcome to apply. A successful background check is required.
