The Facilitator for the Accelerated TrainingCenter is responsible for delivering training to a wide variety of audiencemembers for the purposes of building their skill level to secureemployment.  In person as well as onlinedelivery may be used.  A Facilitator mayalso meet with a company representative for the purposes of deepening theunderstanding of skill requirements to be trained and to secure company,occupational or industry specific examples in delivering the trainingcomponents.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Instruction 

Delivering and facilitating assigned educationtraining curriculum. This includes classroom instruction, and field instruction(as appropriate). Delivery may occur at a customer site, a partner site or at acollege owned or leased location. Deliver and facilitate approved safety,technical, and skills curriculum using adult learning delivery methods andclassroom visual/audio equipment while effectively managing class time. Assistsin identifying, planning and implementing learning activities appropriate tostudent needs. Perform active learning lessons as needed or directed forassessing skills needed to perform specific tasks during lab/practicalevaluations. Conduct refresher training or one-on-one sessions as needed orrequested.

Assist in the maintenance of course materials. Employappropriate assessment techniques to measure student performance in achievingcourse goals and objectives. Conduct studentsurveys of the education and training experience for the purpose of continuousimprovement. 

Facilitation & Classroom Support

Reports to site on time and prepared as directed.Models professional behavior and exceptional customer service, teamwork, andprofessionalism in all interactions with college employees, client companyemployees, training participants, associated project vendors and communitymembers. Keep accurate and appropriate records of attendance and scores inaccordance with established college and departmental policies and procedures.Handles student concerns with respect, follows guidelines, processes andprocedures, and reports any issues to leadership. Craft supplementary learningmaterials as needed in conjunction with our instructional designer, such asparticipant manuals, facilitator guides and other learning tools with suchmaterials finalized at least one week prior to first delivery session.

Possess and maintain the required trainingcertifications that enable delivery of assigned content while engaged withOffice of Talent Strategy delivery. May be assigned secondary documentationresponsibilities as requested by department leadership. Adherence to agreed upondeadlines for client company as outlined in the Letter of Agreement is ahallmark of the customized training service.

Working Conditions

Typicaloffice/academic environment. Regular exposure to moderate noise typical tobusiness offices. Must travel to various Columbus State campuses and client sites.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor'sdegree, associate degree or certifications in education and training content orequivalent educational industry experience and/or training or equivalentcombination of education and experience. Minimum five (5)years of education or training facilitation and instructional experience. Experienced incollaborating with other facilitators and staff to develop improved coursework,assessments and classroom delivery and management techniques. State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s). An appropriate combination of education,training, coursework and experience may qualify a candidate.
