Department Summary:

UNT at Frisco Student Services team ensures that the students attending the Frisco campus have everything they need to be successful during their time at UNT.

Position Overview:

To serve all Student Services staff with assistance on scheduling, purchasing, travel; assist team wherever needed in the pursuit of creating a unique Frisco Experience for all students/customers; to create communication material that will be shared through various outlets for target audiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and three years of highly responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Advanced written communication skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Knowledge of accounting/budgeting procedures.
• Ability to work under pressure, to adjust to constant changes, to handle multiple tasks, and to coordinate the work of others.
• Ability to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data of complex nature, and to prepare and submit reports in acceptable formats.
• Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize multiple programs and assignments effectively.
• Ability to work on complex and confidential tasks utilizing judgment, tact, and resourcefulness.
• Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships.
• Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned function.

Customer Service: Takes great care to listen to and serve students, faculty, visitors; problem solve customer needs or refer to appropriate party; keeps detailed record of interaction for reporting purposes.

o:

Administrative Functions: Assist Student Services team with scheduling, purchasing, travel, onboarding/offboarding, etc.

o:

Constituent Communication: Creates original content for various outlets that allow target audiences to engage with happenings at Frisco (e.g. web calendar, weekly student emails, social media, flyers, etc.); communicates with all departments on campus to funnel timely information to students.

o:

Supervision: Manages front desk part-time staff team; meets with students 1-1, evaluates daily/weekly performance and offers corrective guidance; manages PT peer/self evaluations will follow ups; plans ongoing training; demonstrates positive modeling for students; responsible for selection, onboarding, off boarding, etc.

o:

Team Player: Engages positively with team to ensure unity, inclusion, morale; offers assistance to team members on specific goals, or seasonal influx of work; engages in group activity to build team effectiveness; provides value input/feedback on process improvement.

o:

Professional Development: Participates in appropriate and continued staff development/training; focuses on learning about new research on various student populations, topics of diversity/inclusion, ongoing safety practices, etc.
