The Project, Design, and Analysis is a three-year cohort degree, in three key areas (project management, design thinking, and data analysis), with three required internships. This highly structured program is built around project-based learning (PBL). Position Summary:
All classes in the program are integrated around a central semester project. Each class works with an industry partner who provides students with real-world problems to address.
The College at Frisco seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor Pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for Fall 2021, Spring 2022, and Summer 2022 semesters. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses to develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs. Minimum Qualifications:
The anticipated need is for Adjunct Instructors whose duties may include, but are not limited to teaching the following courses:
SPDA 3300 – Design Thinking
SPDA 3350 – Design Principles and Practices
A candidate with a terminal design degree (MFA, MDes, etc) is desired, with at least 5 years of client-based industry experience and at least 5 years of classroom or teaching experience. Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications Work Schedule:
•8 or more years of classroom or teaching experience.
•Experience facilitating classroom projects that require working with external clients or industry partners.
•Experience designing new program curriculum and/or individual courses.
•Experience with hybrid/online course instruction.
