Job Description PURPOSE AND SCOPE:The Director, Career, Technology and Continuing Education provides leadership, supervision, evaluation, and quality assurance for non-credit programs and CE programs at the campus. The position is responsible for oversight of CTE/CE programs and classes using a profit center budget model. The Director collaborates with area agencies, volunteer associations, community-based organizations, and other clients and partners to address and meet their needs. Also coordinates the negotiation of contracts for use with off-site facilities and for the provision of CTE/CE services. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Supervise and evaluate the CTE/CE programsProvide direction and support to the satellite campus coordinator, the Manager, Division Operations and other staff as neededOversees the department budgetRecruit and hire Adjunct Faculty and staff; ensure proper training and orientation of instructors and staffPromote non-credit workforce and community classes and programs to ensure strong student enrollment growth and stabilityCollaborate with area agencies, community-based organizations, and other partners to address and meet their needsAdvocate for and represent Corporate and Continuing Education to the local community, college administration, faculty, and staff; promotes through presentations and ongoing contact with chambers, civic organizations, economic development entities, and community-based and state organizationsProvide student's academic advising by phone or face to faceServe as an effective team member on campus committees and councils, Workforce Council and curriculum teamsAnalyze statistical data for decision-makingParticipate in and coordinate the development of contracts of understanding with other entitiesProvide relevant information and training as well as guidelines for the team in generalResponsible for other reasonable related duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Able to work autonomously and have a high degree of judgmentAdvanced organization skills and excellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent decision making, conflict resolution, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work with a diverse group of peopleAbility to maintain confidentialityAbility to take initiative and understand all of the policies and proceduresStrong multi-tasking abilitiesAbility to maintain and promote a positive attitude in a demanding work environment PHYSICAL ABILITIES:The work is sedentary. Hiring salary range is $65,140 - $74,911
Lone Star College provides a hiring salary range for all posted full-time non-faculty positions. Where your salary offer would fall in that range is determined by your related experience and education.
