Job Overview

Reporting to the Director of Annual and Reunion Giving, the Annual Giving Program Assistant provides administrative and operational support for Annual and Reunion Giving programs and special projects. This part-time position is 20 hours a week, 12 months of the year.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assists with strategic planning, content creation, web platform management, and overall execution of Giving Day.

Provides requested support to the Annual Giving managers and their respective programs, including Wheaton Associates, Reunion/Alumni Giving, Student Ambassadors, and Phonathon.

Oversees regular mail and e-mail follow-up with donors contacted by Phonathon students, including managing the relationship with the vendor.

Ensures the timely and accurate quarterly mailing of thank you notes for acquired and renewed Wheaton Fund donors.

Assists with the planning and execution of Annual Giving events as needed including but not limited to: Giving Tuesday, Tuition Freedom Day, Wheaton Associates breakfasts, and Christmas Festival reception.

Assists director and office coordinator with mailings and other special projects.

Assumes secondary responsibility of office coordinator tasks in his or her absence.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

Previous work experience in a fast-paced office setting preferred

Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage multiple projects with high attention to detail

Demonstrated self-management, organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Computer competencies, including proficiency with data entry, web-based applications, and Microsoft Office

Physical Requirements

The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to 10 pounds.
