Part-time Aircraft Maintenance Technician (Aerospace)

Position Information: DescriptionThis is a part-time, non-benefitted position.

Duties and Responsibilities
    Aircraft Technicians are responsible to work with the Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor Perform maintenance inspections, repairs, overhauls, or alternations of products or aircraft in accordance with the Repair Station Manual (RSM) and current FAR's, manufacturer's data drawings, specifications, and bulletins or other technical data acceptable to the FAACreating work orders and ensuring proper paperwork is obtainedMaking necessary entries on the Maintenance Department's maintenance formsAirworthiness Directives to determine applicability and complianceTroubleshooting and correcting discrepancies involving the airworthiness of an aircraftMoving aircraft in and out of the maintenance hangar as necessaryAssisting personnel in proper work procedures and practicesReturning shop towels, support equipment, and expendable materials to Inventory Control at the end of the shiftKeeping workplace in a clean and orderly mannerUsing approved Minimum Equipment List (MEL) as per part 135 and part 91 deferrals when required to return aircraft to service
Required Competencies
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must have flexible work schedule 
Minimum Requirements
  • Must have an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) degree or going to school to get one

Preferred Qualifications
  • Availability during the summer is a plus

Varied shifts from 6:30 am to 11:30 pm including weekends.
