Job Details:

Coordinator for Civic and Community Engagement Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the Coordinator for Civic and Community Engagement. This position will be housed in a new office at CCU, Off-Campus Student Services and Community Engagement. Duties will include, but are not limited to: responsible for creating and advising a student board focused on five key programs/initiatives: Colleges Against Cancer (Relay for Life), voter registration, CINO Pantry, Alternative Spring Breaks, and general service; serve as a resource for CCU faculty and staff members as well as student organizations and as a liaison to the University for community and business partners; connect faculty, staff, and students to community service opportunities; educate the campus community about social justice and community issues; solicit sponsorships for a variety of Student Engagement units; oversee the implementation of community fairs at Orientation and throughout the academic year; and perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and related experience is required. A master’s degree in student affairs or equivalent field of study is preferred.

Effective written and verbal skills along with organizational skills; the ability to lead, advise, organize and interact with students; experience with interpersonal relations, relating to diverse individuals and groups, motivating students and developing programs; excellent customer service abilities; familiarity with general risk management policies.
