Staffs the front desk of the Bread Loaf Inn to support residents and events.
Operates post office at Bread Loaf, distributing mail and packages daily. Manage all USPS mail, and receive and ship UPS, FEDEX, and other services. Operate the Bread Loaf
Deliver messages to all members of campus.
Record and report maintenance requests to appropriate people.
Act as liaisons between residents, programs and special guests, Public Safety, Dining Services, Mail Room, Mailing Services, Health Center, Maintenance, Custodians, Bread Loaf Staff and administration, and the immediate Ripton community.
Responsible for housing, services, and Bread Loaf campus orientation for all program participants, faculty and staff.
Serve as information center for activities, dining, lodging, shopping, trails, etc. in the area.
Works cooperatively with others and accepts direction from supervisors
Performs all duties in a safe and professional manner and in accordance with established departmental practices and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned to assist department in obtaining and maintaining its mission.
Education & Training
High school diploma required. First Aid and CPR certification preferred. Must have good driving skills and record, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a College license.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required. Responsible, detail-oriented with
excellent customer service skills. Sound verbal and written communication skills required.
Available to work extended hours such as early morning, evenings/nights and/or weekends as necessary at critical times and for system upgrades, or to provide technical staff coverage for essential services outside of traditional business hours. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment, responding to rapidly changing demands.
