The University of Northern Colorado is seeking a creative, inspiring and energetic leader to become their next Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Marketing and Communications. The University of Northern Colorado (UNC) is highly regarded for prestigious programs and an innovative faculty of teacher-scholars who are committed to student success. Founded in 1889, located in Greeley, the university is just an hour’s drive north of Denver. The community’s population of more than 100,000 enjoys a variety of activities - shopping, athletics, local festivals, nightlife, a symphony orchestra and theater along with UNC’s NCAA Division I athletics.
The university is a Carnegie-classified D/PU – Doctoral Professional University institution that educates approximately 12,500 students from 50 states and 49 countries. It offers more than 100 undergraduate programs and 120 graduate programs in a broad array of academic disciplines at its 260-acre main campus in Greeley, at satellite campuses and online. About 500 full-time and 300 part-time faculty members deliver world-class instruction, pursue cutting-edge research and creative activities and provide exemplary service among five colleges: Humanities and Social Sciences; Business; Education and Behavioral Sciences; Natural and Health Sciences; and Performing and Visual Arts. The university has an operating budget of roughly $200 million.
The new AVP will report to the vice president for university advancement and will serve as a senior member of the University Advancement leadership team. The AVP will work with the university community to shape, communicate and manage UNC’s message and brand. The assistant vice president for communication & marketing will lead the development and execution of outcome-based communications and marketing strategies in support of the university’s strategic plan and goals. Another critical goal will be guiding the implementation of the Strategic Enrollment and Student Success Plan which aims for UNC to leverage its teacher/scholar model and integrated network of coaching and support resources to attract and provide students with the education, experiences and opportunities they need to succeed and achieve their desired outcomes. Compensation and Benefit Information
Compensation range: $140,000 - $150,000
