The University of Texas System invites applications and nominations for the position of President of The University of Texas at Arlington to lead a comprehensive research, teaching and public service institution. The successful candidate will have the experience, integrity, skills and vision to continue to advance the university’s academic and research reputation, grow enrollment, and strengthen relationships with education and industry partners.
Founded in 1895, UT Arlington is a Carnegie Research 1 institution (total research expenditures exceeded $125 million for FY 2020), a designated Hispanic-Serving Institution and an Asian American Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution. UTA is located on a 420-acre campus in the heart of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. One of the largest universities in Texas and among the fastest growing in the country, the university serves more than 48,000 students who attend classes both on campus and online. As the Chief Executive Officer, the President leads development and implementation of goals and strategies to achieve the university’s mission and the priorities authorized by the UT System Board of Regents, reporting through the Chancellor. The next President will lead UT Arlington as it continues to grow and enhance its status as one of the premier academic and research institutions in Texas and the nation.
