The Henry W. Bloch School of Management at the University of Missouri-Kansas City is seeking applications for the Henry W. Bloch Chair of Finance. Significant support from the Bloch Family Foundation, established by our School’s namesake, Henry W. Bloch, encourages excellence in research, teaching, and engagement. The School is centrally positioned within the growing Kansas City metropolitan area, a diverse urban community that boasts recent recognition for its unique combination of a low cost of living and a high quality of life as a result of its racial and ethnic diversity. Minimum Qualifications
  • A PhD or DBA in finance from a business school that is accredited by AACSB. Consideration will be given to candidates at either the associate or full professor level.
  • Demonstrated potential for research and teaching, as well as a track record of participating in, designing, and/or leading innovative programs.
  • Evidence of instructional effectiveness, with priority given to candidates demonstrating the ability to utilize both traditional and online modalities and the ability to address the needs of both undergraduate students and experienced professionals and executives. Ability to teach and mentor students from underserved communities is particularly desirable.
  • An established and active research program with a track record and/or demonstrated potential to publish in high-impact journals.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The Bloch School enrolls over 2000 undergraduate and graduate students and also offers extensive non-credit programming through executive and continuing education.
