Responsible for all aspects of the installation, maintenance, inspection, operation and repair of HVAC systems. Responsibilities
Required Qualifications Educational Requirements
- Inspects buildings, fixtures, machines and other structural and/or mechanical units, noting need for repair, performs minor and preventative maintenance
- Performs complex maintenance work including detection and correction of HVAC systems
- Assists other technicians on emergency and corrective maintenance
- Working on active systems, energized and de-energized equipment in compliance with NFP and Board of Regents (BOR) safety standards
- Troubleshoots and repairs EPA refrigerant class I, II and class III equipment
- Complies with EPA refrigerant protocol
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment
- Accurately maintains equipment inventory and historical records
High school diploma or equivalentOther Required Qualifications
Current, valid and unrestricted Georgia driver's license
EPA certification in class l, ll and lll type equipment or ability to obtain EPA universal refrigerant certification within six (6) months of hire dateRequired Experience

Advanced knowledge of mechanical and HVAC machinery Working knowledge of building automation systems Knowledge of appropriate safety standards including occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions in the use of tools and equipment Knowledge of Ashrae standardsSKILLS
