The University of Colorado Denver l Anschutz Medical Campus seeks individuals with demonstrated commitment to creating an inclusive learning and working environment.  We value the ability to engage effectively with students, faculty and staff of diverse backgrounds. The Department of Immunology and Microbiology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, School of Medicine invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. Candidates with strong research plans in the general fields of Immunology and Microbiology are encouraged to apply. Preferred candidates will have well-developed interdisciplinary research plans that employ innovative approaches, human systems and animal models to study pathogenic mechanisms, innate immune responses, and inflammatory processes with bacterial, viral, or other pathogens including those affecting skin and vaginal mucosa. 

Position Summary

• The successful applicant will be expected to establish and maintain a strong extramurally funded research program and to participate in teaching and mentoring of graduate and medical students. The research-intensive Department of Immunology and Microbiology is housed in world-class facilities at the Anschutz Medical Campus in the greater Denver area http://www.ucdenver.edu/academics/colleges/medicalschool/departments/ImmunologyMicrobiology/Pages/welcome.aspx.
• The Department and the Anschutz Medical Campus fosters a highly collegial culture and the possibility to establish collaborations with investigators in a variety of basic and clinical departments. • Human Immunology and Immunotherapy http://www.ucdenver.edu/academics/colleges/medicalschool/programs/immunology-immunotherapy/pages/default.aspx,
•  GI and Liver Innate Immunity http://www.ucdenver.edu/academics/colleges/medicalschool/programs/Innate-Immune-Program/Pages/default.aspx, provide resources, advanced instrumentation, and expertise to enhance the research program of the successful applicant.
• Faculty appointees will receive outstanding start-up support and will work in a collaborative environment with state-of-the-art core facilities, including genomics, metabolomics, proteomics, imaging, biophysics, Cryo-EM, and ABSL3/BSL3 facilities.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range (or hiring range) has been established at $100,000 - $150,000/yr

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
