    Multi's/Jumps Graduate Assistant

    This position will be a Track and Field assistant coach for Multi's/Jumps. This position will assist the Head Coach and Coach Woods and Coach Drew in the organization, administration and promotion of all aspects of the Concordia University's Irvine Track and Field program.

    Coaching includes assisting the Head Coach and coaches mentioned above in instruction of all events listed above and any other event areas designated by the Head Coach; program management for the specific area assigned and preparation of recommendations to the Head Coach. This position adheres to the policies set forth by Head Coach and Athletic Director, as well as Concordia University Irvine, the PacWest Conference and NCAA.



      Provides consultation and expert advice to Head Coach in multis/jumps.Prepares, plans, conducts, and evaluates practice sessions, as directed by Head Coach and Coach Woods and Drew in the Multis/Jumps.Teaches individuals and groups of student-athletes specific tasks and skills before, during and after practice, during season and off-season.Teaches sport/event specific techniques as directedFulfills all administrative duties such as filming, set-up, and breakdown of practice facility assigned by Head Coach or Coach Woods and Coach DrewThis position is available to coaches and student-athletes before, during and after practices and events.Will be on time and attend all practices/meets unless previous arrangements have been made with Head Coach (Head Coach Discretion)Failure to do so will result in disciplinary actions
      You will actively recruit all jumps and multis athletesAttends off-campus events for the purpose of evaluation and contactFollow all NCAA and Concordia University Irvine's recruiting policiesMakes contact with all prospective student-athletes in coordination with the NCAA Rules.Makes phone contact with your prospective student-athletes in coordination with the recruiting coordinator and NCAA RulesWill be NCAA certified to recruit off Campus
      Follows CUI procedures in handling any monies that flow through the athletic programWill oversee one-study hall per weekPlans long and short term team objectives under the leadership of the Head Coach
    • Will be responsible for leading and ensuring pick up of all equipment from track and field tunnel on meet day
    • Administers day to day operations as directed by the Head Coach
