Job Summary
Columbus State University has openings for Classical Ballet instructors for the CSU Youth Dance Conservatory (YDC). Continuing and Professional Education offers dance training to children and adults, to include Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet, and Levels 1 - 7 in Classical Ballet, Jazz, and Modern Dance. The successful candidate will join our YDC team of highly qualified instructors.

Responsibilities
The YDC operates Monday through Friday, 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturday, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. The successful candidate(s) will follow established curriculum to teach various classes and levels of children and adults. Schedules may vary.

Required Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include extensive knowledge and experience with Classical Ballet; must have experience working with children and/or adults, as well as significant classroom experience; and the ability to convey information to multiple learners at various skill levels. The selected candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills, classroom management skills and strong verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
A Bachelor's or Master's degree with emphasis in dance preferred or the equivalent of experience and education. Extensive teaching experience with children and adults preferred.

Proposed Salary
Begins at $25/hr.
