Vice President for University Advancement
Felician University, a co-educational liberal arts university with main campuses in Lodi and Rutherford, New Jersey, seeks as its next Vice President for University Advancement a mission-driven and experienced fundraising professional to provide bold leadership for development and alumni engagement. The vice president will join the University at a pivotal moment in its history and partner with a new leader, President James W. Crawford, III, to enhance the institution's fundraising capabilities.
Felician is one of 24 Franciscan universities in the United Statesand the only Catholic, Franciscan, private, independent institution in New Jersey. The University is thriving with record-breaking increases in enrollment and improvements in student success, a focus on inclusive excellence, shared governance, new partnerships and programs, growing net revenue, and continued facilities enhancements, including a new athletics complex.
The University seeks an experienced advancement leader and manager who will bring expertise in donor and alumni relations and a demonstrated commitment to the liberal arts and Franciscan values. Reporting to President Crawford, the new Vice President for University Advancement (VPUA) will partner with fellow senior administrative officers and work closely with the advancement staff and governing body of the University to advance the fundraising agenda. The new vice president will provide strategic leadership in the department's work to create and manage an effective infrastructure that supports Felician's fundraising and alumni engagement activities, including the creation of a strategic plan for the department and the execution of coordinated strategies aimed to grow the staff of the department, expand a donor base for the University, advance alumni engagement, and significantly enhance giving. The VPUA is also expected to educate and engage all members of the Felician community in advancement efforts, building authentic relationships with the college's diverse community, and to lead and inspire the advancement team, including in the planning, launching, and execution of a comprehensive fundraising campaign.
