The Department of Geography and Anthropology offers a diverse range of programs including degrees in Anthropology, Geography, and Geospatial Sciences, minors in Anthropology, Environmental Studies, and Geography, and certificates in Geographic Information Sciences and Land Surveying. The Department of Geography and Anthropology at Kennesaw State University is accepting applications for a Limited Term Instructor or Limited Term Assistant Professor to teach undergraduate courses in Land Surveying. These courses are most often at an introductory level and include Construction Measurements, Surveying I, and Surveying I Lab.
Applicants may be asked to teach in various modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, and online) and courses maybe be assigned at the Kennesaw or Marietta campus. Qualified out-of-state candidates with demonstrated success in online teaching and working with a diverse community are encouraged to apply. Required Qualifications
For Limited Term Instructor: A Master's or other terminal degree in Geospatial Systems Engineering, Geographic Information Sciences, or a closely related field, or its foreign equivalent is required. Candidates with a minimum of 18 graduate level credit hours in Land Surveying, the Geospatial Sciences, Geomatics, or related field, along with relevant professional experience will also be considered. For Limited Term Assistant Professor: A terminal degree in Geospatial Systems Engineering, Geographic Information Sciences, or a closely related field, or its foreign equivalent is required. Experience with AutoCAD required. Preferred Qualifications
An earned doctoral degree in Geospatial Systems Engineering, Geographic Information Sciences, or a closely related field Land Surveying Certification Experience with ESRI GIS and other Land Surveying-based software products Evidence of teaching and working with a culturally and an ethnically diverse community Record of past teaching at the undergraduate level Experience teaching on-line or hybrid courses Required Documents to Attach
