Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Department Information
The Wellstar School of Nursing (WSON) offers BSN and MSN degrees and is one of the largest programs in Georgia. The School graduates more new Baccalaureate nurses than other programs in Georgia. The School currently employs nearly 50 full-time faculty and numerous part-time faculty. A five-year plan to increase undergraduate enrollment is underway. The WSON is housed within the Wellstar College of Health and Human Services, which includes departments of Social Work and Human Services, Health Promotion and Physical Education, and Exercise Science and Sports Management as well as an Academy for Inclusive Learning and Social Growth.

Job Summary
The Wellstar School of Nursing at Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for two twelve-month tenure track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor, beginning July 1, 2021.

Responsibilities
Qualified applicants will have clinical expertise in adult health, community health, psychiatric/mental health, parent/child or women's health nursing and/or skills and simulation labs. These positions report to the Director of the Wellstar School of Nursing. Primary teaching responsibilities will be in undergraduate didactic and clinical courses. Other responsibilities include participation in ongoing curricular assessment, scholarly activities, and service in departmental, college, and university committees.

Ideal candidates will possess: 1) an active RN license in Georgia or eligibility for a Georgia nursing license; 2) previous teaching experience; 3) the ability to seek and obtain external research funding; and 4) a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Assistant Professor rank indicates evidence of a beginning program of research and scholarship/creative activities. The Associate Professor and Professor rank indicates evidence of an established program of research in a focused area.

Required Qualifications
Required Qualifications Include: a research focused doctoral degree in nursing or a related field, or the foreign equivalent. Candidates who did not complete a BSN to PhD degree, must possess a master's degree in nursing or a related field, or the foreign equivalent. BSN to PhD graduates are not required to hold a master's degree. Candidates must have a clinical background in adult health, community health, psychiatric/mental health, parent/child or women's health nursing and/or skills and simulation labs.

The university has committed itself to expanding the global experience of students, faculty and staff through its Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), known as the "Global Learning for Engaged Citizenship" initiative, which began in 2007. This program focuses on increasing opportunities for international learning experiences. In spring 2009, KSU awarded its first Global Engagement Certification to graduate and undergraduate students. In 2009, the Kennesaw State Owls completed a reclassification from NCAA Division II to NCAA Division I, competing in the Atlantic Sun Conference. During the transition from 2005-2009, KSU teams have won six Atlantic Sun Conference tournaments in five sports, including men’s indoor and outdoor track, women’s soccer, softball and cross-country.
