General Summary

The Autism Program at ISU is a program that runs five days a week and involves training and supervision of graduate and undergraduate clinicians from the departments of psychology, education and speech and communication sciences. The associate coordinator is responsible for assessment of individual child clinical needs for the early childhood intensive program and evening social skills groups; training of clinical staff; oversight of intervention programs; and regular communication with families of the children served.

Required Qualifications

1. PhD or ABD
2. 3 years of work experience with individuals with autism
3. Demonstrated experience creating, implementing and evaluating evidence-informed interventions with children with autism
4. Supervisory experience with staff who are responsible for implementing evidence-based strategies for individuals with autism
5. Consultation experience with families whose children have autism

Work Hours

Generally Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm with occasional weekend and evening hours as business needs dictate

Functional Expectations

Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:
1. Remain at a workstation for extended periods
2. Move about in various locations on and off campus as needed to complete day-to-day work
3. Effectively communicate on a daily basis
