General Summary of Position:
The Manning School of Business at the University of Massachusetts Lowell is seeking applications for a part-time, non-benefitted, and non-union administrative assistant to provide administrative and office support. Overall, the administrative assistant is expected to contribute to the growth and development of the Donahue Center for Business Ethics and Social Responsibility and the Manning School of Business strategic initiatives. Responsibilities include organizing and promoting guest speaker events along with providing support for specific initiatives such as student competitions, networking, and fundraising events. The successful candidate will be eager to learn new skills, including training on several university platforms.
Some of the departmental administrative support duties include:
- Maintain an environment that is welcoming to persons of all backgrounds, nationalities, and roles.
This is a part-time position with 18 hours per week. Includes occasional evening event support.
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
- Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years’ administrative support related experience or Associate’s degree with 5-7 years’ administrative support related experience
- Website, social media, and digital marketing skills
- Time management, planning, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Thrives in a dynamic task environment, including flexibility and creative problem solving
- Motivated to complete work in a timely fashion, including meeting operational and reporting requirements in advance of deadlines
- Ability to work with a diverse population of students, faculty, staff, and vendors, locally and globally
- Experience maintaining confidential information
