Nature of Work
A PRA position is available for an individual to work in a laboratory studying decision making with neurophotonics and extracellular recordings and inflammatory response elicited by viral infection of the olfactory epithelium. The PRA would perform experiments in one of the areas of research in the laboratory including for example immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization, animal behavior and advanced microscopy. The person will help run the laboratory by ordering supplies and helping with routine laboratory procedures. Supervision Received
Daily interaction with the PI(s) and the lab managers. Supervision Exercised
Coordinate work with other departmental personnel as needed.Examples of Work Performed
The PRA will be engaged in research projects within the laboratory involving animal behavior, microscopy and immunohistochemistry. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent record keeping ability, communication skills, and ability to work independently. Experience in some of the techniques such as immunohistochemistry, microscopy or animal behavior would be useful, but not required.Salary and Benefits
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $35,600-$60,000.The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.The University of Colorado offers a full benefits package.
