Position Summary:

This position is responsible for operating the warehouse customer counter, ensuring warehouse stock is replenished using UGA purchasing guidelines, monitoring min/max stock levels, run re-order reports and inventory counts daily, and input inventory count data into AiM and other inventory management software programs. This position will ensure that customer material orders are properly staged for pick-up, data for inventory counts are entered into the inventory management system, and customers and vendors are notified about their supply orders. This position may provide assistance to other FMD Warehouse personnel as a back-up to load/off-load material and supplies as necessary. This position may be called to work for campus emergency to assist FMD or campus emergency response operations as necessary.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:

  • Strong computer, technical operations, and report manipulation knowledge and skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory and business practices. university properties and equipment, and basic accounting principles.
  • Ability to create and interpret data on spreadsheets and reports and send/receive emails and other communications
  • Ability to obtain information and analyze data from work orders, inventory manifests, emails, and reports.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others.

Physical Demands:

  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Sit, walk, bend, lift, twist, reach, squat, stretch, and work with hands above/below head.
  • Work on a computer up to 8 hours per day.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service at the Warehouse Customer Counter.
  • Conduct inventory counts.
  • Receive and enter inventory orders from FMD and campus customers via telephone/computer/email/in-person communications.
  • Stage material orders for customer pick-up and provide counter release documents.
