Job Summary

The Tanner Health System School of Nursing is looking to hire a Federal Work Study approved student assistant position. Student cannot be a current nursing student, Meta-major Health Profession, or Undecided Health-Nursing Interest major. Preference to a student who can work two or three shifts (3-4 concurrent hours) a week for a total of 12 hours, during the SON Business hours of Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm. We are looking for a student with professional customer service skills and office management project understanding such as professionally answering and transferring telephone calls, record keeping, completing projects for faculty and staff, and positively representing the School of Nursing to visitors, students, faculty, and others. General typing, filing, updating spreadsheets in excel. Typing letters, documents, and labels. Scanning, copying, and general knowledge of office machines such as scanner/copier, and fax machines. Additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Current registered UWG student with GPA of 2.0 or higher that is eligible for Federal Work Study Funds. Student cannot be a current nursing student, Meta-Major – Health Profession, or Undecided Health-Nursing Interest major. Preference to a student who can work two or three shifts (3-4 concurrent hours) a week for a total of 12 hours, during the SON Business hours of Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm.

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer student with professional customer service experience, and computer skills.
